Description
Beautiful acacia solid timber cajon, sounds as good as it looks. It has acacia on all 5 faces, with the tapa being 3mm hoop pine ply.
This cajon is perfectly tuned with 2 x 42 strand snares. It has a thumping bass sound and an array of snappy snare and rim-shot taps to explore.
Acacia, also known as Blackwood, is a tone wood, meaning that it is used in musical instrument creation due to its properties lending to nice sound creation.
“It produces a warm, full tone and is exceptionally rich in the midrange, with many players and makers comparing Blackwood’s tonal qualities to that of koa. Blackwood is also known for being a rather stiff timber that’s perfectly suited for percussive playing, and is renowned for handling climate extremes better than many other Australian tonewoods.”
